MISSION STATEMENT

The Buhl Elementary Library is committed to helping students and staff develop information literacy skills and an enjoyment of reading through a collaborative approach to instructional design and by providing access to quality print and non-print materials.

Goal #1: To help students develop information literacy skills for lifelong learning.

Goal #2: To provide physical access to print and non-print materials.

Goal #3: To help students develop an enjoyment and love of reading.

Goal #4: To provide leadership, collaboration, and assistance to teachers and others in applying the principles of instructional design.

Monday through Friday--7:45 a.m.. --3:00 p.m..

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How many books may I borrow?

The number of books that a student may borrow depends upon his or her grade.

Kindergarten--one book

First Grade--two books

Second Grade--three books

Third Grade---three books

Fourth Grade--three books

Fifth Grade--three books

2. May books be renewed?

All books may be renewed at least once. If no other student has requested a book,

students may renew it a second time.

3. How much does it cost to replace a lost or damaged book?

Hardback books have a $20 replacement cost, and paperback books have a $7.50

replacement cost.
